At Himba Raya Indonesia Foundation, we believe that the future of Indonesia’s environment lies in the hands of its youth. The YOUTH program is designed to empower young people in Central Kalimantan and beyond to become leaders in environmental conservation, climate action, and sustainable community development.
Through YOUTH, we provide education, training, and real-world opportunities for young Indonesians to actively participate in forest restoration, sustainable livelihoods, and biodiversity protection. By engaging youth early, we nurture a generation that values nature, understands the urgency of the climate crisis, and has the skills to take action.
The program includes capacity-building workshops, environmental education, leadership training, and hands-on conservation projects in local communities. Young participants learn not only the science of ecosystem restoration but also practical skills in agroforestry, eco-tourism, non-timber forest products, and green entrepreneurship. These skills open pathways to sustainable income while reducing dependency on destructive practices.
